Walmart Readies To Capture Telangana
Global retail giant Walmart has announced opening 10 outlets in Telangana by investing 100 million US dollars. Each outlet will provide 2000 jobs directly or indirectly. Of the ten, five shops alone will be established in Hyderabad.
The company has entered an Memorandum of Understanding with Telangana government in the presence of Industry minister KT Rama Rao.
The new stores would include 10 in Telangana, for which the US retailer signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government. Walmart currently has 21 stores in India, including one in Hyderabad. Walmart India, said their focus in South India would be on Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
