KTR Disappointed! No ‘Second In Command’ In TRS
The ongoing speculations that the TRS party is likely to elect second in command after party Supremo K Candrasekhar Rao in the ruling Telangana party may not realize this year also.
The party has elected Telangana Chief Minister and TRS Supremo K Candrasekhar Rao as party President unopposed at the 16th party’s annual Plenary conducted in Hyderabad on Friday. Rumors doing rounds that KCR son and IT minister KT Rama Rao will be chosen as party working President giving way to take the mantle from his father KCR.
Returning officer and Home minister N Narasimha Reddy declared KCR elected unopposed TRS President before the beginning of the plenary. He said 11 sets of nominations were filed in support of KCR.
KCR thanked the party leaders for electing him as party leader and reposed faith in him for the last 16 years. He will strive to fulfill the aspirations and dreams of Telangana people again.
Earlier, KCR paid floral tributes to Telangana martyrs and recalled the service and sacrifices to the cause of Telangana during the Telangana movement.
