Sunday Church Bombings By ISIS; 43 killed
Continuing its serial attacks across the globe, Islamic State (ISIS) on Sunday launched two suicide bombs in one of the largest cities in Egypt- Tanta. As per early reports, the bombers attacked two Coptic churches that left at least 43 people killed.
While the first bomber exploded himself in Nile Delta city, which is 60 miles from the city Cairo, assassinated 27 people by hospitalizing 78 people, a second suicide bomb which was launched in Alexandria had killed 16 people and injured around 41.
President of Egypt, Abdul Fattah al-SiSi has condemned the attacks and hours later, terror group Islamic State has come forward and claimed responsibility for the dual attacks. ‘Deeply pained by the attacks in Egypt. We condemn these attacks. My thoughts are with families of the deceased & prayers with the injured,’ tweeted Indian Prime Narendra Modi, who also is a strong opposer of terrorism.
The loss of lives in this deadliest attack is likely to raise in the course of time and immediately after bombings, authorities have deployed army troops across the nation.
