Shocking Transformation of Guru Girl

Sporting a de-glam role as a struggling kick-boxer, Ritika did pack a punch in sports-drama Guru, the Telugu-remake of her debut Irudhi Suttru for which she even won Special Mention at the 63rd National Film Awards. Move over from Guru, Ritika has shocked one and all with her transformation from de-glam to a totally different role in his latest offering Shivalinga.

Seen as a spunky house-wife, 22-year-old Ritika has perfectly stepped into the shoes of Sathya’s role that has various shades – horror, innocence, romance, sentiment. Especially scenes showing Ritika as ghost are getting maximum applause in the theatres. Ritika did manage to pull off the film on her shoulders. As a ghost, she did scare the viewers with a beedi in her mouth.

This shocking transformation is getting great applause. With both her roles – in Guru, Shivalinga – having good scope for performance and have substance, Ritika seems to be flooded with more offers. In fact, she also turned glam in Shivalinga and did well in romantic scenes and songs. She matched steps with choreographer-turned-dancer Lawrence. These are going to fetch her commercial films as well.
